2024 State Masters Games


Each year, between 600 and 800 participants and volunteers attend the State Games. You must qualify at the district level to compete in the State Games during Masters Games Week, but anyone can attend the State Games as long as they register for it through their district. There is a $15 State registration fee. This fee includes fun, fellowship, 5 meals, the Fun Walk, Parade of Athletes, Opening Ceremonies, and the Hall of Fame Banquet.  Information about the 2025 State Games will be posted around April on this page.

There are no District qualifiying competitions for the following.  Here is how you register for these:
  • 5K Fun Run (regsiter through your district for the State competition held during Masters Games Week)
  • 3-on-3 Basketball (look below)
  • Golf Events (look below)

Rule Updates: 
Basketball Free Throw is the only event with a rule change this year.  The number of shots has been reduced.  The distance has not changed, but will be listed below as a quick reference for competitors.
  • Men shoot 20 shots (Ages 50-79 from 15-foot Free Throw Line.  80+ from 12 feet.)
  • Women shoot 10 shots from 12 feet (Goal for ages 80+ will be lowered to 8 feet.)
